Perhaps Derek Eastdragon could comment further on the wisdom of energy supply socialism (ethanol subsidies) that has already resulted in increased food prices. I find his silence on this topic curious. Of course, energy supply socialism would not be as appealing in times of tight energy markets had the government not also been promoting a policy of motorized transportation socialism in the form of highly subsidized highway construction, instead of putting the money and thus more control in the hands of local municipalities. Together, these policies constitute a form of state-level social engineering that enforces love for the automobile.
--- . Anticipating increased food security burdens as a result of transportation-related increases in the price of food, the State should invest additional resources in food pantries and school meal programs. _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://www.danenet.org/mailman/listinfo/bikies
