Since we're all on the topic of sprawl again, I noticed the DOT is
holding a public information meeting Wednesday night in De Forest to
present its plans to make U.S. Highway 51 from Reardon Road to
north of
County Highway V a four-lane highway. (Gee, wonders never cease?)
The meeting is scheduled to be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the De
Forest Middle School cafeteria, 404 Yorktown Road.
According to the DOT, there must be no limit to the number of motor
vehicle that can be driven into Madison on a daily basis.
