Dear Robbie and group, To make my original comment about the Frank Busalacchi policy statement clearer and in context, isn't he calling for more and bigger and grander highways? Doesn't he claim the purpose is to cut highway deaths by bigger and grander limited access ribbons across the country? And then he claims it is for the economy--truck transit and reallocations and house building suburban sprawl? And finally, all the e-mails I have read to this site--BIKIES--support just the opposite intervention.
Do you seriously want all this highway development in hopes of an accommodation to the "silent sports?" In actuality, the politicians will simply put new gas tax money into the "general fund." There is no more "lock box" there than for social security tax.
