Dear Robbie,

Indeed you did not use the word bicycle.  I appologize for thinking that since your name is synonomous with bicycle issues and that this website is one called "bikies" for the purpose of discussion on bicycle issues, that you inferred some relavance in Frank J. Busalacchi's grand statement of possibility or intent TO THE BICYCLE AND ITS ADVANCEMENT?

Did I say a word about bicycle funding? Maybe someone else with my name chimed?

I said the letter was interesting because one of the ideas that has been debated on this list for years was being quoted by the WiDOT Secretary. I don't believe I even used the word Bike or Bicycle in my post.

Dear Robbie Webber,

Your optimism reigns supreme in that you must be assuming that new taxes will support new BICYCLE INFRASTRUCTURE?  Maybe you believe that if there is a big pie, the bicycle slice will enlarge?  Won't the hated sprawl, interstate expansions, divided highways to nowhere gobble up all the new gas tax money?  How can you assume otherwise out of hand?  Accounting for infrastructure replacements such as the Minneapolis bridge will come from other "capital" funds.
