Thank you, Matt, for encouraging people to come speak at the Council
meeting tomorrow. (6:30 PM - City/County Bldg, 2nd floor.)
I also realize that not everyone can come to the meeting, and if you
do come, it can get very difficult to sit until the item comes up. I
have no way of knowing whether this item will come up at 6:40 PM or
9:00 PM. Sorry.
BUT.... if there is something that you feel everyone on the Common
Council and/or Mayor should know, you can send comments. Comments and
stories from your heart are the most effective. Just say what's on
your mind.
Here's what to do (any or all):
1. ASAP, so we have time to read the comments, send an email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] This will automatically go to all 20
members of the Council. As I said, better earlier than right before
the meeting, so everyone can read the comments in advance. You can
also send it to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
2. If you are downtown, you can drop off 20 (better is 25) copies of
your comments in hard copy to the Council office, Room 417 of the CCB.
These will be distributed to us at the meeting.
3. Come register in support of the Platinum Report. You can register
at the Council chambers at 6:15 - 6:30 PM, and then leave. You won't
be able to give specific comments, but your support will be noted ("15
people registered in support, but did not wish to speak.")
Thanks to everyone who has already sent comments. And thanks in
advance to all those people who I know just haven't gotten around to
it. Considering all the traffic on this list, I'm hoping my alder
email box will be flooded with comments and support!
