There are benefits to having the extra poundage...for example today...I was much warmer than I would have been on my training ride had I been a lean whippet type...there is a silver lining. Those poor souls doing the ultra marathon today...I rode the course and cheered them on a few times...but I was very glad to be on spinning wheels instead. Running hurts too much.

The ride should feature clothes hanger bikes, husky or older or less fit riders, and families with kids in tow. We could even create some awards of achievement for participants. Along the way, we could stop at a grocery store and pick up some groceries perhaps have a mock drop the kids off at school demonstration. My sedentary ways this winter added some poundage to my frame. But I"m afraid I'm a underweight at 215 pounds. I could, however, hang some grocery panniers and go shopping for cookies and donuts and milkshakes. ;-) Or find pretzels in the shape of bike frames and festoon them with small donuts for tires.
