I might add that last weekend I rode into Fitchburg on the Capital City Trail and spotted a pair of Sandhill Cranes in a field just to the south of the trail. It has been a real wet ride, but seeing those cranes would have made the trip worth it all by itself. I even had my good camera with me and managed to get a pretty good shot:
