Here's one forward thinking City that has legislated bike parking...perhaps Robbie can review the wording (and other cities that have done it) can come up with some wording to start the process through legislative channels...others have done it...we're not trend setting here...this is from Ottawa, not sure if bike parking is required at Hockey events http://www.safecycling.ca/BetterBicycling/2006Spring/a-parking.shtml Our fair burg does mandate recycling at special events does it not?..think of this as just another easy "green" policy...and the idea to gift to the city parks the racks from the Bike Fed is an excellent one. I know as a person in the "market"...I am less inclinded to go to an event and spend my moolah if I don't know that bike parking is available....we (cyclists) are some of the market for many of these events...
Riding the Badger trail later today with Jeff Schimpff, will photo document conditions and follow up with DNR contacts folks have posted...people have given the trails excellent reviews (sounds like the railroad tunnel portion is DARK!) Happy, safe and dry riding today!...off to do an open house first
