I took a sneak preview of the path a few days ago and I was impressed. 
Thanks to the UW-Madison Transportation Services for providing this.

But I did notice a problem where the path crosses Highland Avenue. 
Highland can be a very busy street, and it's not easy to find a gap in
traffic during rush hour.  To make matters worse, northbound cars block
the path when they are stopped by the signal at the Campus Drive on-ramp.

Perhaps this issue will be dealt with by the time the path officially
opens, but in its current configuration it could be ugly at times.
