I hit this area too, this morning, on a ride -- we were at that point on the trail at around 10:30 a.m. A good-citizen bicyclist had stopped at the first spot ahead of us and was brushing glass off the path with his jacket -- otherwise we wouldn't have seen it until we were in it. He warned us about another spot further on, which we weren't completely able to avoid, but we did stop and brush off our tires immediately -- good thing, because there was definitely at least one shard in my tread!
This almost had to be deliberate vandalism -- the extent of it, with lots of glass spread over a wide area. I think I'm going to file a police report, even if it doesn't lead anywhere.
