The good news on the North Beltline is that there is no money to build
it for the foreseeable future. No county money. No state money, and
certainly no federal money. No matter how much the folks in Waunakee
and Westport want a new road, unless they pony up their own tax
dollars, it ain't happening.

But on to the Middleton bike plan. That is probably a much more
immediate issue, and one we can influence. As I mentioned, there are
some very good bike links in that plan, but they are about to be shot
down unless we show up.

The most important people to attend are Middleton residents, but if
you work in Middleton, shop there, or even visit, your voice is
important. Support the good plan, and give people a pleasant and safe
route by bike. That's one way to make a dent in car culture.

Tues, Jan 12, 7:00 PM - Middleton City Hall
