Mark Evans, Your inquiry was forwarded to me (Mike Dailey in City Engineering). The project you describe is a stormwater project to improve conveyance along the bikepath, improve the quality of the runoff thru this area and to repair some severe erosion damage that was threatening the path. The storm water quality components will require periodic maintenance - probably twice per year. We are constructing access points off of the bikepath for that future infrequent maintenance. Lisa Coleman is the Project Engineer, should you have further more detailed questions. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mark Evans Sent: Thursday, February 05, 2009 11:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Bikies] Anybody know what the work by the SW trail just up fromGlenway is? (this is not regarding the tree cutting by the Regent st end) I asked Dar about this... I've noticed a lot of tree cutting and road/path grading, storm sewers, etc about 3-400 yards north of Glenway. A gravel road bed seems to run parallel and then meet the trail. I haven't gotten a chance to holler at the workers to ask them what it's all about. Anybody know what this project is all about? thanks!
