My parenthetical about barfing was a joke -- that's something meant to induce humor -- regarding the obvious strained political correctness of referring to people who bike as "the bicycling community." Sorry you didn't get it.
As for what you can conclude about me, why should I care? You're the one who can't even comment on a simple email without getting all nasty and accusatory. I absolutely was not "pissing on the participants on this forum." I was responding to a single participant, Jeff Schimpff, who apparently has license to spend his time at the DNR writing gratuitously insulting emails about people who drive cars. That was the only person I was responding to. But I understand that it does sound more sinister if you portray my comment as an attack on an entire listserv. I'm glad you're comfortable with the "long tradition of extremism and overstatement" in these listserv posts. You must feel right at home. (BTW: I wonder why, in picking an email handle, you came up with "stinkoid"? Actually, I think I have a pretty good idea.) One thing though. Are you satisfied with that conclusion? There is a long tradition of extremism and overstatement in this forum. Some people don't care for it, but I don't think many people take it as seriously as you seem to have. Not sure what it takes to see beyond the literal, but most of us here seem to have it.
