This evening around 8 pm. I was riding on the bike path in Law Park,
and came across a large number of emergency vehicles blocking the
roadway near Broom St. I was told that a woman had been crossing the
street on her bicycle when a truck came through the crosswalk and hit
her, sending her 25 feet in the air. After hitting her, the truck
drove off.
Does anybody on bikies know anything about this incident, beyond what
I heard at the scene? Is the bicyclist likely to be OK? Is there
any hope of finding the trucker (I'm told that some of the witnesses
saw the license plate -- I hope so)? So far, there nothing on the
news about this crash.
