Hans Noeldner is one of our strong supporters in Oregon, and he wondered if anyone was free to come down to comment on their bicycle master plan. He realizes it's short notice.
If you can't make it, but want to see what they have in the plan, you can access the plan on-line, and maybe submit comments. They are trying to tie in with other communities, so this could affect long distance recreational and commuting routes. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Hans Noeldner <[email protected]> Date: Wed, May 6, 2009 at 7:39 AM Hi: Sorry for the late notice on this, but better late than never… Madison area and Dane County bicyclists are encouraged to attend a Public Forum on the Village of Oregon Master Bicycle Plan this Thursday, May 7, at the Village Hall, 117 Spring Street, in the Village of Oregon. In addition to improving bicycling conditions within Village limits, the Master Plan will also address bicycle connections BETWEEN the Village and the surrounding communities – Madison, Fitchburg, Brooklyn, the towns of Oregon, Rutland, Dunn, etc. Residents from these communities are welcome to attend and comment. I believe the insights and expertise of Bike Walk members would be especially useful. There will be an open house starting at 6:00 PM, where citizens can discuss the Plans with Village planners. The Public Forum starts at 6:30.
