The Bike Fed is now accepting applications for our Board of Directors. The BFW Nominating Committee is seeking qualified candidates to run for election to fill 5 open seats on the BFW Board of Directors. If you submit the information required below, BFW will place your name on the ballot to be sent to its 4,500 members.
Positions are 3-year terms each beginning January 2010. Please note that 4 of the 5 incumbent Board members have decided to run for re-election and that the Board has endorsed those 4 (Bill Hauda, Dick Withers, David Waters, Chris Kegal) for re-election. However, please do not let Board endorsements deter you from applying. To apply and have your name placed on the ballot, please send your answers to the following 2 questions by email to Kevin Hardman, Executive Director, at [email protected]. You must submit your answers to Kevin at or before 5pm on October 2, 2009: 1. Describe how you, by joining the BFW Board, could help BFW advance its mission. (See mission statement provided below.) (75 words or less) We will print your answer and biographical statement unedited in a document that will accompany the ballot sent to membership.
