I don't know about that incident, but there was another bike/car collision earlier today on the corner of West Washington and Bedford. The bicyclist said he was physically okay and did get up and walk around before the ambulance and police arrived. The motorist appeared to be an elderly lady. According to the cyclist, the light had turned green and he went then got hit. I didn't see the collision, just happened upon it right after it occurred so I can't speak further to what happened.
The driver did wait at the scene, and a handful of individuals stopped to assist until emergency assistance arrived. --- On Tue, 10/13/09, Martin Lund <[email protected]> wrote: From: Martin Lund <[email protected]> Subject: [Bikies] Possible Bike or Ped & Car Collision To: "bikies" <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 12:03 PM Riding past the south east corner of Eastwood and Divison this morning I saw a sedan pulled over to the side of Eastwood, just east of the intersection, with its hazards on. A single police cruiser was parked behind the sedan with it's rooftop lights on. There was a bicycle leaning against the light post on the SE corner of the intersection. The lower passenger side windshield of the sedan was smashed in. I was moving at a pretty good clip and was running really late for work so I didn't have time to catch anyother details. I assume that unless the busted windhsield was from a previous occassion that it was caused by a cyclist or pedestrian having been hit. Any clarifying nfo would be appreciated.
