I also like the unlit SW commuter path and would prefer no lights (or very
minimal lighting).  I look forward to riding there at night, especially on
dark summer evenings when it's cool.  Yes, you have to slow down, and it's
impossible to ride without a light, but I've found it lovely to ride in a
spot without light pollution.
