As Portland OR prepares to open the public hearing process on their new long-range bicycle plan, some motorists have had enough, according to the post on the "Hard Drive" blog by Joseph Rose of The Oregonian.

How much of that enough is too much in what some would say is the US' premier bicyling city? A big 2% of the proposed 5-year capital transportation budget, for example. Leaving a puny 98% for other modes. Out-fuckin'-rage!

The plan for 2030 is to get 25% of commuters onto bicycles. Current is 6.4%, so it's a big push-- about a four-fold increase in bicycle commuting is sought.
