Hi Fellow Bikies, This is a general pre-winter reminder about the Bikewinter website. Bikewinter is a Chicago-based site that has lots of great tips, links, etc. about biking through the winter. If you haven't already, check it out! <http://www.bikewinter.org>
The folks in Chicago who run the Bikewinter site generously offer a local calendar to Madison for us to post our bike-related events all winter- so post away! For the 2009-10 season, I will continue to be one of the liasons for the Madison area. If you need assistance making a post to the Bikewinter site, let me know. To look up and/or post events for Madison go to <http://bikewinter.org/calendar/scheduleofevents.php?city_id=3> There are also local calendars for Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Louis. But wait, that's not all! Howard Kaplan from Bikewinter contacted me looking for a local Milwaukee coordinator/llaison to for the site. He describes this as "basically just someone to be anything from point person for communications to full-fledged "chair" (meaning whatever you'd like it to . . .)" I am not personally hooked into the Milwaukee bike scene/community, so I thought I'd cast the net to the Bikies Listserve.
