The impact recipient is back at work on an occasional basis and continues to recover slowly from numerous serious injuries, including eight fractured ribs and three pelvic fractures. He can walk without a cane but in winter prefers not to, outdoors.
Because Mr. Clark has had a forestry management business and the impact recipient works in forest management from a public policy perspective, they apparently know each other somewhat and it is unclear whether the impact recipient will take any personal action regarding this grievous and most unfortunate incident. So, who needs to hear again that it is dangerous to assume anyone will stop or judiciously guide any vehicle just because the law or a spirit of mercy would require them to?
