Hi All,

Rode the Southwest and the Cap City today.

The Southwest was plowed from Breeze to Midvale, and there was a Parks vehicle working on it as I rode through. Midvale to Cap City trail was snow-covered but very ridable.

The Cap City was entirely plowed but for the short bridge section across from Nine Springs County Park, because it appears that the bridge is too narrow for the plow. No clear pavement but the ice is mostly covered with enough snow to provide some traction. Many chunks of snow and ice rolled back onto the trail from the windrows, like this:

Studs and caution recommended. Also a water hazard between the end of the Southwest and Seminole:

Not deep but will be thick, rutted ice soon.

Urban sections of the trail are mostly clear pavement.

Michael.
