I'd also like to add...
-Concave mirror at the bike path turn under the Nolen bridge so people can see
if traffic is coming and be safer
-AUTOMATIC "Walk" lights with greens, especially at crossings (Fish Hatchery
and Wingra for example) with bike lanes (heck, I'd like to see them go to auto
walk without buttons everywhere..its a reminder to drivers that Pedestrians
have rights too...not sure why we are the only city I know of that doesn't do
this) where when you're travelling on a bike 10 mphs plus to then stop to hit
the button while there's a green that says "DON'T WALK"....even though you have
the "right of way" it doesn't really help ease the tensions..drivers get pis**d
off when they think a cyclist or other pedestrian is crossing when it tells
them not too..let's face it, drivers don't know pedestrian rights very well
-REPAINT the bike lanes we already have!!! there are several around town that
have been missing for years....if we truly respect the mode of transit, we as a
city should maintain it...to not is well, bad.
-More Bike racks EVERYWHERE...including Hoop racks on meters....
these are fairly simple no brainers...dontchathink?
