Yes, I noticed that this morning. And I have to say, I'm not thrilled about
it.

That lane, with no cars parked in it, must be the widest bike lane in the
city.

But that lane also servers as a parking lane. And when cars are parked
there, it is not all safe. You risk either getting doored on the right, or
getting buzzed on the left by motorists who don't know how to say in their
lanes.

Does AASHTO have standards for bike lanes that double as parking lanes ? It
seems kludgy.

Generally, there aren't too many parts of Midvale where people use the
street parking. But where they do, I usually use the next lane. Now I expect
to get yelled for not using the 'bike lane'.
