This trail will also make accessible another important, but presently poorly-served (wrt. alt-trans), community organization - the Dane County Humane Society. I biked out there several times when I was a volunteer years ago, and that stretch of Hwy 51 from Broadway to Voges, under the Beltline was... er... invigorating. There was some murmur of Metro bus service out that way (Siggelkow?) many years ago, but as far as I know, it never materialized. It seems a natural that community organizations like DCHS, that thrive on volunteer energy, should be accessible to those without cars. --------------------- Paul T.
