George's posting of his comments on the Verona Rd project - and a big thanks to George for taking the time to submit comments! - is a good opportunity for this:
Reminder that the meeting of the Long Range Transportation Planning Committee (LRTPC) is earlier than normal this month. In order to get our comments in by the deadline, we will be meeting this Thursday, Dec 9, 5:00 PM, in Room LL-110 of the Municipal Bldg. The only item on the agenda is the city resolution on the Verona Rd project. The LRTPC is the lead committee on this resolution. That means that all other city committees forward their comments to LRTPC, and we sort through them and forward a recommendation of the resolution to the Council. I'm not sure if I have all the committees, but I know that the following have acted on the resolution and provided comments: Transit and Parking (tonight) Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Board of Public Works Plan Commission Parks Commission You can view the comments from these committees, (not all comments have been reported yet), as well as the entire SDEIS and other documents, here: http://legistar.cityofmadison.com/detailreport/matter.aspx?key=22411 The Council will be acting on this item next Tuesday, Dec 14.
