The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the City of Madison will hold a public information meeting to discuss improvements to East Washington Avenue between Thierer Road and East Springs Drive in Madison. Construction will take place in 2012, 2013 or 2014, depending on availability of funding. The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 9, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the WisDOT Southwest Region office, 2101 Wright Street, Madison. The meeting will be held in an open-house format with a formal presentation at 7 p.m. WisDOT and City of Madison representatives will be present to answer questions. Exhibit boards and handout materials will be available for the public to review. The purpose of the project is to replace the deteriorated pavement. Improvements to the roadway and impacts to traffic during construction will be discussed. The meeting site is wheelchair-accessible.
