~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The Sierra Club and CRANES will hold a candidate forum for the office of Dane County Executive, on Friday, February 4, at Goodman Community Center, Bolz Room A from 6 to 9 PM. The Goodman Center is located at 149 Waubesa Street on Madison’s east side. The public is invited to attend. The candidate forum is preceded by an informal open house from 6-7 PM for the public to meet the candidates. The forum itself will take place from 7-9 PM. As of this date (1/17/11), three of six candidates for County Executive are committed to attend: Scott McDonell, Joe Parisi, and Joe Wineke. The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of Dane County and is co-sponsored by CRANES (Capital Regional Advocacy Network for Environmental Sustainability). The scope of this forum will center on Dane County environmental and conservation issues. Candidates will each present an opening statement, answer questions from the public and forum sponsors, and present a closing statement. Some questions will be taken from the audience during the open house preceding the forum.
