Others correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the B-Cycle proposal/proposition
will be part of the City Council agenda this Tues & based on the comments of
the
alders attending the PBMVC meeting, it may be a tough vote & needs a 15 votes
to
pass, or something like that.
If you're interested in seeing Madison get a bike sharing program, you should
contact your alder & preferably come to the City Council meeting on Tues to
submit your support & testify, if possible. The primary controversy is the
investment of the $300k over the 3 years ($100k/yr), a lack of information to
alders who are not familiar w/bike sharing programs, & some misunderstanding of
what the City's commitment would be.
