So true mr Wong; and this applies to all donations! We the taxpayers got screwed into paying for part of Frautschi's gift of the Performing Arts Center, Kohls' Kohl Center, Grangers' School of Business on campus, and innumerable other buildings just in Madison alone. And this does not take into account CHARITABLE contributions! United Way, St Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army etc., but all the donations that keep the churches, synagogues, mosques, etc. running!
Whew, as a fellow taxpayer, my rear end hurts just thinking about it. The Goodmans were nothing but unselfish and unstintingly generous, and if they'd been seeking power they could have had it many times over. And they COULD have had the town named after them if they'd been that kind of people. There are plenty of real living megalomaniacs around, you don't have to make crap up about dead people. ------------ Patrick Lenon _____ Date: Fri, 4 Feb 2011 03:14:40 -0600 From: [email protected] To: [email protected] CC: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Bikies] Dane Co Exec candidates forum tomorrow - sponsored by enviro groups don't reward land speculation by using the name "goodman" for the atwood community center; these dead megalomaniacs will soon have the entire town named after them On Thu, Feb 3, 2011 at 11:50 AM, Robbie Webber <[email protected] <http://mc/[email protected]> > wrote: Goodman Community Center - just off the East Isthmus Path for the winter bike set. 6:00 - 7:00 PM: Open House to meet the candidates 7:00 - 9:00 PM: Forum For the Bikies set, this might be a particularly interesting event, because the forum is sponsored by various environmental groups.
