Reconstruction of Purdue St in the Village of Shorewood Hills begins Monday April 11, and is expecting to continue through the end of May. This will require detouring pedestrians and bicyclists from much of the multi-use path through the Village.
East-bound bikes/peds will be detoured: - north on Shorewood Blvd to - east on Harvard Dr to - south on a multi-use path that connects Harvard Dr to the east-west path east of the pool, and then - east on the path to Marshall Ct. The detour is simply reversed for those going west. This is, if I recall correctly, the same detour the Village used last summer during the All City Swim Meet. The Village's engineer has requested that the detour be signed by the contractor asap.
