That's exactly the point. If 40% of trips were made by bike here (and maybe they are on certain late spring days), the Willy St. parking lot wouldn't be overcrowded with cars and we probably wouldn't need the Bike Benefits program. Since I'm not a car person, I would come by bike anyway. But the Coop parking lot cannot accommodate all the cars if everyone drove, and that's why they offer the bike benefits. I'd love it if 40% of all trips in Madison were by bike, but that's not the current reality.
