Dave, During August and September, We Are All Mechanics hosts a weekly Mondays Around Monona bike ride. Each week begins with a 15 minute pre-ride talk about a cycling topic (this week is 'How to gear up for a longer ride- day trips and overnight touring') followed by a leisurely jaunt (~10-12mph) following the marked Lake Loop Bike Route clockwise around Lake Monona.
During August, the ride begins at 6:30pm (pre-ride talk at 6:15) and during September the ride begins at 6pm (pre-ride talk at 5:45). The ride starts at the intersection of S. Fair Oaks and the Capital City Trail and heads clockwise around the lake. The ride ends at Mickey's Tavern (1554 Williamson St.) where folks can stop in for some food and drink. This year each ride features a guest ride leader. The ride leader for August 1 will be Bike Fed Board Member, PMVBC Chair, bike advocate extraodinaire, and fellow bikie- Robbie Webber.
