Hey Dave,
Every Thurs, throughout the year, there is what has been called the "Girly
Ride" that leaves from Williamson Bicycle Works on W Wash & basically goes
around Lake Monona, so approx 13 miles. During the summer, the riders gather
around 9 & usually leave closer to 9:30 pm & in the winter, it's closer to
8-8:30 pm. You're encouraged to bring a helmet, light, & beer to share.
Otherwise, every full moon the FBC puts on a "full moon ride" & those too are
at night & always have a unique theme...lots of fun. Those rides start at the
corner of E Main & I think Dickinson, somewhere near the electrical stuff on
Main St. They have a Facebook group called Madison FBC.
Lastly, there are occasional efforts to do a Critical Mass, which traditionally
left from the Capital at W Wash on the last Fri of the mo, say around 5:30. The
last few I attempted to show up for, maybe 1 other person would show, etc.
Oh, & of course come winter, watch for stuff from Madison Bike Winter!
Aaron

Subject: [Bikies] Any upcoming underground bike events?
Hey Dane county cyclists, are there any non-mainstream bike events (things like
alley cats, CM, pub crawls, social rides, etc.) going on in the Dane County
area I should promote in this weeks underground ride listing on the Bike Feds
blog?
I know about the unicycle stuff already.
Thanks,
