If I were choosing a route for myself, I'd probably go down Old Middleton Road
to the Blackhawk Bike Path. Then I'd go through Shorewood Hills and through
campus to the Lake Path, which would eventually lead me to State St. However
they get downtown, they should definitely ride (or parade) up State St. to get
to the Square. Would this route be suitable for velomobiles?

If I were free on Monday afternoon, I'd volunteer as a native guide for these
people -- sounds like fun, whatever route they take. But I trust that they'll
make it downtown without me, and I hope I'll be able to see them there.

Subject: [Bikies] ROAM Velomobile Tour in Madison

European and American velomobiles will be rolling into Madison around 5-ish on
Monday is the word I got from a group representative late on Friday. They'll be
coming down along US Hwy 12 from Onalaska, zip through town and camp at Lake
Farms County Park. I have the 100 block of MLK Jr. Blvd reserved for them to
stop, show off and eat. I think they know that, but I'm not sure. Communicating
with a traveling group of Europeans has been hit and miss. What I need is a
good way for them to get from Middleton to the Capitol Square. Any ideas?
Volunteer shepherds? Spray or chalk directions on the bike route? They'll be
using GPS but that's not always a sure thing.
