Your input is needed! Wednesday evening, the first public input session will be held about the proposed Judge Doyle Square. This project will replace what is currently the Government East Parking Ramp (the one next to the Great Dane.)
What would you like to see there instead? What elements are important? What should it look like? Right now, the plan is to put all the parking completely underground, under the location of the current ramp, the current Municipal Bldg surface lot(s) and South Pinckney St. On the block that holds the Municipal Bldg, a new hotel would be built. On the lot that hold the Government East Ramp.... some combination of: retail private office space city office space a bike station public ammenities restaurants etc. Whether you are interested or concerned about the streetscape, traffic, architecture, bicycle parking, pedestrian flow, sidewalk uses, urban design, or just want to put your two cents in, this is your chance. Here's an event listing from Isthmus: http://www.thedailypage.com/theguide/details.php?event=270463 And here's the City's web page. You can click the various links across the top to see documents, the timeline, etc. http://www.cityofmadison.com/planning/judgeDoyleSquare/ Please pass this on to other interested folks.
