I have listened to quite a few shows like this over the last few years. Here are some things to consider:
Vicki has a call screener, and has been known to exclude people from the air who do not agree with her. Vicki cuts people off and will finish the argument without your input - so pick your main point, and the big supporting arguments, and some quick rebuttals to potential counter arguments from the host, and get those out as soon as possible. Pitch your argument to moderate republicans - they are the ones whose minds you might change that are listening to your show. Liberals generally do not listen to Vicki. Vicki generally advocates the "lug nut rule" - the fewer lug nuts your vehicle has, the more you need to yield on the road. Vicki and conservative callers will likely change the subject to whining about bad bicyclist behavior - don't try to defend this attack - acknowledge that there are bad actors on the road, then return to the main topic of why a vulnerable user law makes sense.
