I listened again and located the bicycle reference at 6:55

Interviewer: "One of the things I have noticed in our city is the increased
number of bike lanes, taking out traffic lanes for bike lanes. Is that all
part of this [ Agenda 21]?

Tom Deweese: "Absolutely, they call it the complete street: Having the
bike lanes share the road. In some cases this just isn't possible. Cars
are a big thing. They need space, they need to get through. Bicycles weave
around on the road and there is a danger there. There is a danger to the
bicyclists. Taking that space - and the purpose of it if you begin to look
at sustainable development policies, and they say it outright over and over
again. The purpose is to make it more difficult to drive your car and make
it more desirable to ride a bike." .

So there you have it - complete streets is now marked for the Tea Party as
an effort to undermine personal freedom!

Will the Bike Fed counteract this message, or let it permeate?

Subject: [Bikies] BFW & Smart Growth Law?

So I take it from the last two posts that the BFW is not prioritizing action
to defend Wisconsin's Smart Growth law from the "Agenda 21" fear mongering
that is in full pitch right now?

You really ought to take a listen to this interview that the Tea Partiers
have been listening to:

(wait for the mp3 to load)

Because they in part discuss how bike lanes are proof that the UN is going
to steal our freedoms. Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but as I posted before,
there was a meeting of republican legislators where this crap was rolled
out.
