Here are some more details for the *Yoga for Cyclists class*, an official event on the Winter Bike to Work Week calendar - *Please spread the word*:
Yoga for Cyclists Thursday, Feb 16, 5:30-7:00 pm Location: Mound Street Yoga Center, 1342 Mound St. http://moundstreetyoga.com/hatha-yoga-classes-Madison-WI.html $5 for anyone who bikes ($13 for drop-ins otherwise) NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED This class will be offered by Ali Dwyer, long time cyclist, bike advocate, yoga instructor, and co-founder of We Are All Mechanics bicycle education institute (www.weareallmechanics.com). This special class with cyclists' needs in mind will look a lot like Eischens Yoga, Ali's specialty (regular Eischens Yoga class offered weekly at this same date, time & place). Eischens Yoga is rooted in the Iyengar tradition, with alignment and integrity of the poses at its core. Eischens Yoga helps students learn to practice yoga in accordance with their own constitutional type, and to balance their bodies and their energy flow. It is an excellent complement for athletes in training. This class will be appropriate for all levels - you do not need to be flexible to attend! *Ali Dwyer has taught Eischens Yoga (also known as High Energy Yoga) since 2005, having studied with Roger Eischens and his advanced students beginning in 2001. As a Certified Natural Trainer (CNT), Ali has been a functional fitness instructor and personal trainer since 2003. Ali continues to study with Kari Tomashik, RYT 500, and is certified by Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. Her teaching approach weaves together mindfulness and movement, addressing the needs of people engaged in everyday activities to high-level athletes. *
