No matter the funding source, the fewer people we have cluttering up our downtown streets by breaking the one-person/one car habit, the less transport waste products we'll have to breathe in as we pedal in the core urban area.
While it falls far short of the more ideal scenario of masses of people coming in with their bikes stowed on electric light rail transit cars, powered by wind turbines and effluent digesters, it's still a teeny-tiny improvement.
