Although there is an error in the article, it's nice to see that the new
bike lane on Doty St is getting a bit of press:
http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/capitol-loop-construction-ends-bicyclists-have-new-lane-system-to/article_781a27ae-baea-11e1-ae24-0019bb2963f4.html

I wrote the following to Bill Novak, who wrote the article. He said he'd
add my comments. I'd rather that he simply correct the article...

The article states, " During rush hour from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to
Friday, bicyclists will be required to use the bike lane next to the right
side curb, so three traffic lanes can be used on the one-way street."

Bicyclists are not required to use a bike lane, and may ride on either the
left or the right of a one-way street. Bicyclists should be in the left
lane if they will be turning left. They should also not stay to the far
right or ride in the right-hand bike lane if they are passing another
vehicle, such as someone about to turn right.
