On a high-speed highway it certainly may not be possible to protect yourself against an inattentive or incompetent driver who veers out of their lane at you on the shoulder or bike lane, no matter what gear you have. But mirrors can help a great deal to avoid being victimized in slower traffic.
To paraphrase General Mac Arthur - "But I want you to know that when I [travel those more hazardous roadways], my [best] conscious thoughts will be of [my helmet mirror], and [my helmet mirror], and [my helmet mirror]." Of course, whether you have something like my first cheap wire-stemmed Bike Nashbar mirror or one of Third Eye's line of versatile rear-vision aids, they won't do ya any good without a helmet (or yes, eyeglasses, with some models). _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.danenet.org/listinfo.cgi/bikies-danenet.org _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.danenet.org/listinfo.cgi/bikies-danenet.org
