The new path from Indian Hill park west along University Ave was not cleared
this morning.

The Blackhawk path was clear but icy (the bit from the bridge to Old Middleton
unplowed), the 'backage' road clear, the Shorewood pool path clear, the Campus
drive path clear and salted but a couple tricky spots, esp. the hill by the
U.W. Vets. The Barns' lots were a mess, the contra-flow path up to Univ/Campus
clear but I found myself in the middle of the in-bound lane. Likewise, the
contra-flow lane up Univ was blocked for a block and mess until Randall. The
lane itself wasn't bad (save for the one woman walking/talking down the middle
so loudly I had get off the bike, tap her shoulder and ask to get by) until the
Lucky Bldg area where it was a mess again. State street itself was passable.
Only one fall, but I did slide on my boots more than once. Lots of wet spots
and slush which should be a fine solid ice by the time we head home.
