New path along University still not cleared as of this morning. There are some
sections that have been cleared by local sources , but many more that haven't
been touched. The section from Spring Harbor Dr into Indian Hills Park looks
like someone came through and cleared a 2' wide swath on their own. Enough to
get through but not enough for two bikes or a bike and a person to pass. In
addition, all the new bus stops along those sections have not been cleared.
This is going on three days now. I thought the park maint services were
responsible for clearing snow in the winter. Why aren't they on this? Shorewood
Hills had their section of the path cleared right away.
I have posted on Madison's bike way concerns web page and have received no
response.

Dear Ald. Clear,
Can we outsource this section, Indian Hills Park/Univ. Avenue path, to the
Village of Shorewood Hills?
They are already plowing the Blackhawk Path, and VoSH doesn't have as much area
to cover, so it might be much for them than our own crew.
