Matt:
Your problem seems to be a lack of understanding of politics and the system. You take memos midstream and assume that's the conclusion, when it's not. You attack people who are working toward the same goals as you. Not productive. I am not going to go into details of Bike Fed lobbying strategy. Plan B exists. If you want to change the strategy you should run for the board. I did not see your name among the candidates last time around. Remember: "We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow." -- Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston, speech to the House of Commons, 1 March 1848.

My problem is bicycle (or at least Transportation Alternatives, which
bicycling is a part) funding in the state being cut in half - a proposal
supported by the WTBA, whom the BFW has partnered with, while at the same
time BFW has been shunning other state groups who have been supporting
funding for bicycling and building cities that promote more bicycle use. It
is time to rethink that strategy in light of what has transpired this week.

Do you have a personal issue with me? I don't even know who you
are. Tell us all what your problem is.
