If memory serves, the bike hub is slated to be in place and ready for use in August, this year.
I missed my window to make loud noise that it would be better placed, for bikers, at the bottom of the hill. Where it's turning out to be, bikers will have to ride up the hill to use the bathroom (tho the view of Dunn's Marsh will be nice!) When I asked about placement, the answer was more or less that it was at the top of the hill so the city would be able to service it better. As a driver, I often take a breather break in the parking lot to look at the marsh (more of a pond with wetlands surrounding, realistically). Where the building is being built, that view will be blocked for me.which I'm bummed about. But it's too late to change it now. The new bike up is adjacent to the bicycle interchange, Seminole "bicycle" Highway, and the new County mountain bike facility. There will be wayfinding signage at the interchange to direct riders to the various trails and the restrooms, water, and repair station at the hub. -- Steve Arnold, Fitchburg Alder, District 4, Seat 7 2530 Targhee Street, Fitchburg, Wisconsin 53711-5491 Telephone +1 608 278 7700 .
