I agree. Attempted homicide, for sure. I would definitely file charges to that effect and up the urgency. This is extremely frightening and dangerous for all of us. If this slides, it sends the message it is socially-acceptable behavior. These incidents will only be treated seriously if victims--us bikers--realize and treat them at the serious level they truly are and set them within their proper place in the legal system. That's one of the methods that caused domestic violence to go from being overlooked and thereby socially-sanctioned and acceptable to being illegal with prosecution.
Mindy, your story is terrifying. Can you still pursue it or file a complaint and take it farther? I wonder how many others have had similar experiences and are silently carrying these fears.
