FYI, See below. This would be a good excuse to check out the new lane
configuration on North Sherman Avenue tonight (or any Tuesday night in August)
and support the neighborhood.

Subject: [General Park News] Meet & Eat moves to the Northside TONIGHT

Madison Meet & Eat moves to the Northside
Madison Meet & Eat is in its final month this summer. The event, that brings
neighbors together for an evening of fun and food, will begin on the northside
on Tuesday evenings in August. The northside series kicks off Tuesday, August 6
from 5:00-7:30 and continues on August 13, August 20, and August 27at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church at 2126 N. Sherman Ave.

Madison Meet & Eat is an initiative by Madison Mayor Paul Soglin to bring
together community members and local food vendors in order to address "food
deserts." A food desert is defined as an area where healthy, affordable food is
difficult to obtain. Madison Meet & Eat will address this issue by introducing
attendees to new and local food options in a fun, neighborhood atmosphere, with
each vendor having at least one option under $3.

In addition to the Tuesday nights on the northside, Madison Meet & Eat will
continue on Thursday evenings in the Meadowood neighborhood near the Meadowood
Shopping Center, 5800 Raymond Road. Bring your friends and family to the Meet &
Eat to enjoy healthy, local foods and the company of your neighbors. Due to
limited parking, guests are encouraged to walk, bike or take the bus. To learn
more about Madison Meet & Eat please visit
