When I rode by the old train station on West Washington the other day, I saw a sign for Motorless Motion. Is that store attempting a comeback in Madison? As I recall, it's a Janesville company that had a store on Regent Street for a few years and then shut down, with the building absorbed, like many, by Budget. Does anyone know the details?
I bought a ten speed (a real ten-speed, two in the front and five in the back) there in 1981 and used it as a road bike for several years. It's now my everyday summer bike, so that one, at least, was durable. -- "If we continue to consume the world until there's no more to consume, then there's going to come a day, sure as hell, when our children or their children or their children's children are going to look back on us--on you and me--and say to themselves, 'My God, what kind of monsters were these people?'" --Daniel Quinn
