Hello all, Check this out! Vote early vote often I say! (I lived in Chicago for
15 years...its the norm)..and spread the word

….Best U.S. Cycling Town by 10Best (USA TODAY)!

What a huge honor this is to be nominated for a national contest!  Wouldn’t we
all like to be out on a 70 degree sunny day, biking along the Lakeshore Path on
our way to Picnic Point? The expert panel at USA TODAY must have felt the same
way, because we are one of 20 cities vying for the top spot.

If you’d like to help Madison win the title of “Best U.S. Cycling Town” you can
vote (and share on social media) via the link below.  Voting is open for four
weeks. Please don’t feel pressured to participate!

Vote here!

..And, encourage your friends to do the same!

Votes can be cast once per day per person. Voting ends Monday, April 14th, 2014
at 11:59am EDT and the winners will be announced on 10Best onWednesday, April
16th, 2014 at 11:59am EDT, then later on USA TODAY.

It's good to see that Atwood through Olbrich is part of this. This section
needs a change in balance from mv-dominance to supporting bikes and peds.
Cyclovias are a good way to highlight that gap.

The bridge in OB Sherry is gonna be a very bad choke point. It'll be
interesting to see how that works.

FYI: Got this from the city. Looks like the 2nd event is Atwood-Fair Oaks.
Sounds like fun!
